This month at the Upper East Side Store are happy to announce that we will have pre-order exhibition for Cashmere Sweaters. The exhibition will be held on the 2nd floor of our Upper East Side store from September 18th to the 26th. These items, created exclusively for the New York Stores, will only be produced in very limited quantities. The styles will include a V-neck, Button Down Cardigan, and Hoodie for women, as well as Crew neck and Cardigan styles for men. During this time we will also be taking pre-orders for a Triple Flannel Pea Coat for men and women and few other coats in different styles. These very soft and warm coats will also be limited in quantity and made especially for the New York. The estimated arrival for these items is scheduled for the middle of Oct. If you would like to come to the exhibition we would appreciate it if you would contact us to arrange an appointment so we can give you our full attention. As the production will be very limited and we will not be receiving any extra pieces, we apologize in advance if these items are sold out at the pre-order exhibition. Also we apologize for the delay of the Cashmere Preorder Exhibition, since the samples were not ready.

We would be thrilled if you could join us on the evening of Friday, September 11, for our Organic Life event. As you already know, we are very interested in promoting organic materials and lifestyles, and we would like to share our interest (as well as edible and wearable fare) with you in a fun, tasty, and educational event. We have invited Akiko Sunaga, a healing foods consultant, to give a miso soup demonstration and tell us a little more about the healing powers of organic food, as well as the benefits of wearing and growing organic cotton.

Based in Tokyo, Ms. Sunaga is a certified holistic health counselor. She received her certification, here in New York, from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and earned her Masters of Agriculture at the University of Tokyo. Ms. Sunaga has published three books: "Healing Foods for a Happier Life", "Beginners Guide to Healing Foods", and "Real Organic Life". In addition to these publications, Akiko began a series of influential seminars, in Tokyo, on the topic of healing foods.

In celebration of our event, we will have special limited edition organic vegetable dyed clothing for sale. We are really excited to show you these items: veggie dyed long sleeved t-shirts for men and women, veggie dyed long sleeved tunics for women, Ai dyed shibori t-shirts for men and women, and veggie dyed eco bags!!

The Organic Life event will begin at 6:30 pm (doors open at 6pm). If you are interested in attending, we would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as you can, so that we may take everyone into consideration.

For more information on Akiko Sunaga, please visit: http://www.healingfoods.jp.

We do hope to see you on the 11th.
