Denim Diary

Having started out as a denim company in the 70s our denim roots run deep under the 45rpm family tree. There are so many different special 45rpm pieces and all of them carry a story with them. We feel like our denim is the most storied of them all. As each pair becomes a part of its owner's life we would like to hear and share those different stories. Here we start our NYC Denim Diary. Inspired by the denim stories shared in early issues of 45rpm's catalogues, we hope to get a good look at the different ways 45rpm jeans have been broken in here in NYC and share the anecdotes behind them. We want you to wear the denim until it falls apart. We are happy to repair it for you. Please stop by either of our locations with your denim and your story. We would love to feature them in our diary. Also, feel free to drop us a line at info@rby45rpm.com with any inquiries.

I have had this pair of Jomon for almost two years and I have worn them at least 150 times. I have probably washed the jeans 50 times. I have another pair that I never wash but these are the softest and most broken in. In two years I have had to take them back to the store once to fix the pockets.

I have worn this pair of Sorahiko every day for about six months and I have barely washed them. I have my own construction company in Brooklyn and day-to-day this denim has definitely been put to the test. I like my jeans worn-in so I am waiting to repair them until truly necessary.
