Sculpture Exhibition

To our loyal customer,

45rpm is excited to welcome back our friend, the Kyoto-based sculpture artist Matsuzaki Katsuyoshi, for another exhibition of his beautiful stone works. His "Omamori - Musing Stones" exhibition will be on view from October 19 through November 2, at the Upper East Side location (October 19-24) and at the Soho location (October 27-November 2).

Traditionally, omamori are small, portable amulets that are used to promote good luck and protection. Matsuzaki's Omamori, while stationary objects, provide a sense of peace and calm in the space in which it occupies. They can be placed in any sort of environment and transform the mood:

Something new,
Something unchanging,
Something which creates a sense of ease.
Fully bathed in light or just a faint glow,
his appearance gradually changes.
He only wants to exist and does so naturally in many places.

Matsuzaki Katsuyoshi has been making stone sculptures since 1986. For more information, please visit his website at www.matsuzakikatsuyoshi.com
Please feel free to email us if you have any questions about the upcoming exhibition and reception party: info@rby45rpm.com
